I stay here probably 15 times a year.

It does amaze me that people believe that ANY hotel in NYC, with the high turnover rate of rooms (many one and two nighters), an enormous staff, and tens of thousands of people inside it each week would be a TajMahal.

The comment above about the RC at 10AM....yes, it's open til 10:30, but after a few hundred or so of your closest friends and their guests have stopped by over 4 hours, that's not a fair assessment. And generally, from my numerous and sometimes lengthy stays, it's NOT the rule.

Yes, some parts of this hotel are worn. They are renovating extensively.

Most of all, I have found management that will go out of its way, WITHIN REASON, to please its guests. Now....non-tier members on Priceline rates may not get upgraded to a suite....but I can honestly say that, as a Hyatt Diamond, my last three years of stays here have always been very good.
