Using the link I posted above, there will be train service to/from Secaucus Junction to Meadowlands Station. I did a quick check, and this is one of the results I got back from the system:
Note that TRENTON TRANSIT CENTER is the Northeast Corridor Line (NEC) to Trenton. Secaucus Junction is the next stop after leaving New York Penn (looking at the screens, all trains stopping at Secaucus have SEC in the destination).
The MEADOWLANDS SPORTS COMPLEX STATION is the special rail spur to the Meadowlands Complex. Look for signs, as I am not sure what track those trains will be departing (I would guess G or H on the lower level, normally used for Pascack Valley and Bergen County Lines).
Also, I assume CP stands for Crowne Plaza. If you arrive early enough, you could take the train to Secaucus Junction. Some hotels provide shuttles (The CP might be one of them), so you could drop off your stuff, and take the shuttle back for the Meadowlands Rail Connection.
Thanks a trillion for finding that, it fits the bill perfectly. Owing to a economics, we're definitely doing it this way now -flying in to JFK in the morning, and will get the train into the centre of Manhattan, then on to Penn, and SEC. We're staying at the Holiday Inn Secaucus now as it was on pointbreaks with PriorityClub, but they haven't replied to my email enquiring about a shuttle or availability of taxis... If anyone does happen to have any experience if this then I'd be delighted to hear!
Otherwise, I know there's information on getting into Manhattan from JFK elsewhere, so I'll read up on that, and hope that the SEC to Meadowlands bit is user-friendly!
