Are you sure you can do this? The JFK Expressway cuts right between T7 and T8. The road between the two appears to involve a very out-of-the-way turnaround. I'll admit the Google and Bing maps satellite views are a bit outdated, but it doesn't look possible to walk directly between the terminals.
