Really nothing more. It just upsets me that someone can get top tier in Hyatt's program with only four stays (no offense to those who received the offer). Even though there will be enough food for everybody in the RC, it just seems to cheapen the Diamond tier IMO. </font>

None taken. But allow me to ask you, if you had been offered it, would YOU have taken it?

Cheapen the program? I doubt it. If that were the case, the airlines would've stopped comping a long time ago.

I'm afraid it's not about the "Integrity of the program". It's about getting me to stay at a Hyatt. I've been prequalified as a very frequent traveller due to my CO status, and Hyatt simply wants some of my money. They'll get me to stay 4 nights this year, and I'll stay some next year, before losing the status in 2004. There aren't enough Hyatt properties to keep me as a customer. I'll stick with Hilton, and use the Hyatts when possible.

I used to get mad that CO comps anyone with a pulse. I've earned it, but I've also come to realize that it's just business to offer these comps. These companies WANT my business, and are prepared to offer me some perks in order to get it. In this day and age, it's nice to be valued as a customer. The airlines certainly don't anymore...
