Manchester Grand Hyatt - San Diego
Great stay on priceline rate of $55 night. Very nice room on the 17th floor with a great view of the marina and Coronado bridge. Very convenient location. Step out the back door and you are in Seaport Village. Only a 3 or 4 block walk to Ralph's Supermarket at First and Market with a nice deli and pasta bar. Quick and inexpensive lunch option and for loading up on water, snacks and breakfast pastries for those early morning flights. Skip the airport shuttle and opt for a cab. Cab fare to the airport was only $10 w/tip. Same as the airport shuttle. Unless you need a car to travel outside San Diego, take the trolly or bus. Cheap, efficient and you won't get lost. Only negative was the hotel workers protesting about unfair labor practices by the hotel. Not loud or in your face. In fact, they were set up in front of the Marriot next door.
Looking forward to our next stay at the Manchester.
