And so did I, and several family members, and I believe every elite AAdvantage member. That does not mean we are eligible for it if we are Hyatt GP members already (AA has no way of knowing whether we belong to other loyalty programs when they send out offers).

Click on the link in your e-mail from AA, and you'll see the following in the fine print:

"To receive the benefits of this promotion you must be a recipient of this offer, join Gold Passport via this e-mail and stay between July 17 and October 15, 2002 at any participating Hyatt hotel or resort worldwide."
