Just wanted to pass along these observations I've made since the consolidation of my WP and SM accounts, and its effect on bookings with SkyTeam partners.

I had Plat status with WP prior to the consolidation. Both Delta.com and NWA.com list my status now as Platinum Medallion. That said I've booked quite a bit of airfare today and noticed the following:

Booked from CDG to NRT on AF, and used my new SM number. I am not able to see the "premium seats." Booked AMS-JNB on KLM, and used my WP number instead and can see the "premium seats." I booked NRT to GUM on Continental, first used my new SM number and could not select premium seats, however I then changed my SM to my WP (because continental allows this online) and now I am able to select the premium seats.

Bottom line, I would say keep using your WP number if thats where your status comes from.
