I'm amazed at the number of people who think that you can't get substandard care in the US, or who think that high-quality healthcare doesn't exist overseas.
I certainly wouldn't go to just any doctor overseas, but then I wouldn't do that at home, either. I would always research the quality of the doctor and seek testimonials from other patients before making a decision on where to get my medical care.
