Stripe - if I had to guess you are being hit by the back-end system update that DL does every Sat night or Sunday morning. That is when all elite statuses are updated and reflected in every reservation. I have a feeling that if you login tomorrow (Sunday) and check your itinerary that it will properly reflect your Platinum status and should show your upgrades as requested. You may want to try removing and re-adding your SM# at that time if it doesn't show upgrade requested the first time.
Bingo! I just checked and the reservation now shows the proper status and "upgrade requested" now shows for the DL segments. I did not have to re-enter my SM #.
