Just my two cents,
Grand Hyatt Taipei indeed looks grand from its lobby...and does have a nice nightclub and a haute Shanghai style restaurant. The
room has been renovated with more contemporary touch. But, its location is so outside the center of Taipei and the view from the room always makes me look like as if I am staying in a suburban city center..
Ooops, yes, I mean Taipei City Hall, that is!

Century Hyatt has not had the money nor the will to renovate its aging rooms since its build nearly 20 years ago. Its inconvenient for Ginza lovers but actually two subway stations are near by and you can get to Roppongi in less than 15 minutes. For a simple business stay, its reasonable price is hard to beat, IMHO.

Park Hyatt Tokyo,,,if you stay there, stay there and do not go outside, since that is more like wasting your money...The hotel is
for lovers and fashion designers and all other people to whom "where I stay" image is all so important.
