Same with the return - transfering from Jet to the other airline in Bangkok.
My questions:
1) Will baggage be through-checked in from US to India? Tix are on 2 different airlines on tickets purchased separately.
I was told they might do a courtesy airline-to-airline transfer. What does that mean? Are there no consistent rules about baggage transfer?
2) Can I carry 46 kgs as free baggage allowance on Jet (it is allowed on the other airline for US-Bangkok-US trip) because my travel originates in the US, AND I am directly connecting in Bangkok with no stopover longer than 24 hours?
Thanks
I called Jet USA about this and they said the 2 piece concept would apply, just show your US BP/ticket at check-in. As for interlining, Jet is not so good at that (but neither are any of the others)

If it's on the same itinerary, you should be fine, though.
