I wouldn't hold this experience against Hyatt. It actually sounds much better than the Philadelphia Marriott, which is really awful!
Overall, the experience is simply representative of the city of Philadelphia.
Philly has terrible customer service basically everywhere you go. The Four Seasons is great, but other than that, Philly is just Philly. Even at the fancy dinner places employees just don't care that you bothered to visit Philadelphia.
In Philly, the customer isn't right...it actually seems like the customer is the enemy.
