I have been wanting to figure out how to do this for a while and thought I'd ask the experts.

My laptop has just a VGA port...no S-Video.

I'd like to connect it to the TV's that are becoming more prevalent in hotels so I can do some work and beneift from the large screens on the TV's. I see some VGA cables that go to RCA, HDMI and S-Video, but I'm not sure which I need. I've read some stuff online saying that some cables will work for video output, but won't work for tossing my desktop on the TV. In short, I'm confused.

So with just a VGA port on my laptop, how can I get my desktop and apps to show up on my TV screen?
