Basically it would depend on the TV. The Dynex 42", Best Buy's store brand, has it all from HDMI to a VGA port. The cabble should be the one that you expect to find on the majority of hotel tv's.If you have a LCD TV give the above cables a try and if they work you should be good for a lot of TV's.
Actually, in most cases that cable will not work. VGA component signals are not the same as the component signal a TV will work with. Like the previous poster said, you'll need a converter box to create the right signal.
