Not a bad tactic on their part, why would an individual care about 2 miles, or 10 miles on a 4000+ mile journey? But when aggregrated over the tens of thousands of pax per day it is a huge savings for them.

Its not a problem for me this year, but think about all those years you needed a few more MQMs to make the cut...
