I took the "limo", a buick century, last year -- having never been to China before I thought it was wise -- however after finding out how modern and efficient Shanghai is (not lots of the rest of China) I certainly would not worry about taking a taxi-- and it should be relatively cheap. In Shanghai proper $5 should get you anywhere you want to go. If the driver doesn't speak english -- he will know pudong (pooh-dong) which the area where the Hyatt is -- the Jin Mao tower -- the biggest and highest building you can't miss it.
