Here's the letter:

October 10, 2001

Dear Bonzaiflyer,

On behalf of the more than 45,000 members of the Hyatt family around the world, I want to offer our condolences and express that our thoughts remain with those who lives were touched by the recent tragic events.

As we move forward, each of us is committed to the well-being of our guests and our community, and to delivering the hospitality and excellence you have come to expect from Hyatt. We are fortunate that all of our hotels worldwide are fully operational. Each and every day, we look forward to extending a warm welcome and hope we have the opprotunity to serve you whenever you travel.

Recognizing you as one of our most valued guests is our priority. In light of the current situation, we have taken steps to make your Diamond membership even more meaningful, and I would like to update you:

* To thank your for your loyalty, we will automatically extend your Diamond membership through February 2003. This assures you that you will receive the best of Hyatt whenever you travel.

* Whenever possible, we will offer you accommodation in a suite or in Regency Club. Some of our hotels are temporarily closing Regency Club in response to short-term business conditions. Should a property in the U.S. or Canada close their Regency Club and is participating in the current "Hyatt Business Plan promotion", we will extend those benefits, which include a phone card, waived phone access charges, and complimentary breakfast. This policy iwll remain in effect until December 30, 2001.

* We have increased the number of rooms available for award stays through December 30, 2001. This wll better ensure your first destination choice when redeeming your next Gold Passport award.

* "Offers Around The World" on www.goldpassport.com has been enhanced to feature offers from more than 100 Hyatt hotels or resorts worldwide, and many are valid through February 28, 2002.

As always, Gold Passport will continue to provide a wide array of other values and rewards, and to keep you up to date, we will introduce them using the most timely communication available, www.goldpassport.com. Again, we thank you for your loyalty, and look forward to being your host whenever you travel.

Sincerely,

Scott D. Miller
