I really like the downtown SAT Hyatt. It's not new and hip like the Westin but it has a wonderful atrium and the location is perfect. The Alamo is across the street! The last time I stayed there was over Thanksgiving weekend and as a Diamond I got a great suite. Make sure you go up to the rooftop pool/gym for a fantastic view.
