I had to smile when I read the reviews of the Hyatt St. Claire. In 1977 I stayed the weekend at the 'St. Claire Hotel' because I couldn't afford to stay at the nearby Holiday Inn. It was one step up from a flophouse, a real seedy property with old men smoking in the lobby, filthy carpets, and a creaky old bed. The plumbing was horrifying. It sounds like the hotel has been nicely renovated (it was a Hilton before Hyatt took over) even if the bathrooms are still small. Did I mention that I paid $18 a night? But I was young and in love and a weekend away from home was all that mattered.
Regards,
Paul
