Stayed there last year -- any room has spectacular view(although through the smog). I thought the RC was one of best I've been in. The food selection and amounts were great -- I had several "meals" there. If your room doesn't have the great view of the city and river at least you'll see it from the RC. If you're not diamond or don't have an upgrade, this is one I'd pay for. I had dinner in the grill restuarant -- I don't remember the name -- it was only OK. I had no trouble with the hot water -- frankly the bathrooms were great -- not as good as Park Tokyo, but very good. The location is a bit out of the way, but the ferry is only about 5 blocks -- you want to take it a few times, if only for the "sights and sounds" of Shanghai. Otherwise getting around is easy with the new subway or taxis. A taxi ride in the city proper shouldn't cost more than $5-6. Have a great time.
