Tried to get a room at HR Chicago on a specific three-day stay. First two nights, a thurs-fri, were available at AAA rate. Saturday night was sold out. The DIAMOND rep told me that, although they "say" there are guaranteed rooms for Diamonds, the hotels still black out dates. I asked what the event was....they couldn't tell me.

So....not only is it next to impossible to use the stay-pay-play certificates, as there seem to never be awards rooms available; but their "guaranteed availability" seems like a crock too.

Experienced Diamonds....is this what I'm in for from Hyatt Reservations?
