As a second year Diamond, I've been upgraded to a suite a total of 3 times, once at the new Las Vegas Hyatt--when it was just opening and empty, once at the SF Regency and once at the Hyatt Atlanta (when the RC lounge was closed). This past weekend at a 20% full Grand Hyatt in Atlanta, I was given a room on a lower floor, next to the elevator and across from a very noisy ice machine (but with RC access) and told 'your upgrade is your ability to get into the RC club'. It was only for one night, so I didn't complain--but I've found if it is suite upgrades you want, go with Starwood
