A couple of times: I did "one hour" in a 777 in late August 2001, when BAFT did fun flights during the middle of the night when there was no BA training going on, only third party work that required sim engineers to be on duty in case something went wrong. So you didn't get a pilot instructor, but a sim engineer who treated the thing like a big and expensive toy. After 20 minutes, I got comfortable enough to do the same, and we ended up flying for almost three hours.
I also did a 757 at Alteon in Luton about three years ago. That was very strictly an hour. And seemed like much harder work than the 777.
Very much looking forward to (I hope) a go in a 747. Esp if I can have a shot at Kai Tak.
