I'm thinking about possible three-day trips for the upcoming Columbus Day weekend, and I'm wondering if Montreal should be on my list.

In particular, I'm wondering if I'll end up spending more time in the car than in Montreal. Google Maps says that Montreal is about 6.5 hours driving time from New York, but it doesn't account for the border crossing.

I'd appreciate it if anyone here has a sense of how long the drive realistically takes, and if a Saturday morning to Monday night trip would be worth it.
