While GAs may not always be completely honest or forthcoming, the information available to them is often useless. On several occasions, I've seen no plane at the gate at and after boarding time yet information available to AC agents shows the flight as "now boarding".

I find that way too often flights do not post a delay until after the posted boarding time - which only adds to the frustration.
