We had not much fun at LHR this morning with an all manual checkin. We were told our bags would be fine to be checked through to BOS, and we had a free for all on the seating and about an hour delay.
Got to FRA at 13.30 local time, thought we had better check that our baggage did not turn up on the carousel and lo and behold, there it was! Retrieved it and headed to the F check in for the TATL as LHR could not help obviously. Systems back up by now and no problem getting the bags checked for BOS. The nice lady mentioned that all TATL luggage ex FRA this morning was still here, due to security issues resulting from no one being able to log their first night address in the US as it was all manual. She said it had been a nightmare.
Now relaxing in the FCT, permanently lodged in the Cigar Lounge. Heaven.
