Guaranteed reservation priveleges required for top-tiers.

Hilton Platinum level has it, so does Marriott's top-tiered levels. Now even Shangri-La's Golden Circle Club has it. I'm talking about guaranteed reservations for top tiered members. HYATT Gold Passport Diamond members do not have that privilege and it also seems to have the least privleges when compared to the other top tiered hotel programmes. The 30% bonus for stays is beginning to wear thin, so is the 'upgrades' especially when most international properties set their own rules. Hilton and Marriott seem to be more consistent in getting one upgraded when one is a top tiered member.

What about the air and cruise awards? Do non North American members find those bonuses useless? I've had to throw away countless companion awards on cruise and air partners and most car awards because one simply cannot use them outside North America.

I think it's time HYATT realises that there are Platinum and Diamond members who live outside the US. And they might very well switch to other hotel programmes who might be able to satisfy them locally.
