I have left things behind on purpose with a note. Never had any attempt to contact me about it. My husband left his manicure set behind in a hotel and called almost immediately but it was never found.

I have found items in hotel drawers. There have been threads on that on FT. Some things were not so nice. Others were shoes. Since some people leave shoes in the drawers, I'm reluctant to use that space for my clean clothes.
