San Diego Hyatts
I spent six nights in the Hyatt Islandia in San Diego, completing the Hyatt triathlon I suppose you could call it in San Diego.
I remember reading an article that Randy had written somewhere claiming that the Hyatt La Jolla was one of his top five hotels in the country (it may even have been number one). Having stayed at all three in the San Diego area now, It's a toss up between Hyatt Islandia and La Jolla as being my *least* favorite.
Hyatt San Diego is by far my favorite ... better location, spectacular views from the floor to ceiling windows in the rooms, and very nice accomodations.
Hyatt Islandia was nice, though it looked a little old in general. However, the location was great and the view was great. Also, I was able to buy my Sea World and San Diego zoo tickets there ... and charge them to the room, which let me use my credit card of choice and earn GP points! Also, unlike the other two, they have free parking.
The Hyatt La Jolla is a very nice hotel ... however, the location is by far less desirable than the other two I think in relation to things to do and places to go, the rooms are okay, and the view is nothing at all to write home about.
