First part - according to the T&Cs, you're not supposed to book under your name unless you are staying.
Second part - you can book multiple rooms in your name - whether or not you'll get the status perks on all rooms is up to the property (I've never booked more than 2 - but have gotten status perks to both with the exception of GH SAN) - you will earn points for the money spent on all the rooms but only stay credit / nights for 1 room.
