We are really excited to be spending 3 weeks in Kyoto with our 14 month old daughter - and we'd really appreciate your advice about:

1. We've rented an aprtment near Kyoto station in the Shimogyo-ku area - any tips on how to make the most of this location?

2. Any trusted babysitting service - wd be good to be able to get out for at least one evening!

3. Great toddler-friendly places to visit? And to eat?
