Lets start with this a is a good hotel in a beautiful location. But I have to say that in terms of Royal Ambassador recognition things seem a bit haphazard.
I had a one night paid booking followed by 4 nights on reward points.
Originally on my one paid night I was upgraded from a beachfront room to a beachfront suite - when the 4 reward nights (in a garden view room) were added in I was dropped back to a beachfront room. When I checked in I asked if I could have a suite and was told only for the one paid night.
So I had assumed that Ambassador or Royal Ambassador the usual upgrade on points would be one level - however that is contradicted by morepointsplease's experiance.
In terms of being a Royal Ambassador most of the staff when I asked them didn't know the difference between that and Ambassador.
