J is the fare code for full-fare business class, often used as a shorthand for business class in general (also sometimes see C used here)
F is the fare code for full-fare first class, often used as a shorthand for first class in general
Y is the fare code for full-fare coach, often used as a shorthand for coach in general
So a "J seat" would be one of the seats in business class.
