tcl, I couldn't agree more about the fixed laptop compartment and the thousand organizational pockets on a bag where they are not really needed.

The Cortina is a very nice and classic design. I like that, too. But, as you say, weight and price are definite factors in luggage choice.

The EC Global Commuter seems to be more of an office bag anyways.
