AA confirmed to me that it is legitimate. I also informed them last week of the specific problem with the email. It's a fairly simple problem, and it both makes the email appear garbled to many people and more likely to be blocked by spam filters. I would have thought it would have taken someone ten minutes to fix the problem, but from the continuing reports, it seems they haven't done so.
Note that the problem makes the email appear to have no "From:" header field, so the most common mechanisms to "bless" email as not spam won't work.
The ones I received were proper and well-formed. They had from, reply-to and were legible. I'm using gmail to receive them and had no problems. Some took a couple of days to show up, but the format was correct
