After countless hours reading threads in the hotel forums, TripAdvisor, Etc, TahoeGirl and I have finally come close to settling on plans for our upcoming trip to Italy. IMO it wil be very difficult to maintain a precise schedule (i.e., adjust to time at Lak Como, partial day in Verona) etc... You've packed a lot in. IME, people who maintain such a demanding schedule end up not really enjoying themselves. I would definitely opt for more time in fewer places. Cinque terre is fabulous (although certainly not the remote "untouched" Italy it was even 10 years ago - thanks to Rick Steves) but the weather can be dreadful in early November which can make the hike etc.. less than pleasant.
