Wrong.

I clearly remember the change at T4 and wrote to BA complaining that its website was still showing the old closing time. I only found out when I was walking down the corridor towards the entrance to the Arrivals Lounge only to be met by BA staff walking the other way telling me that it was closed.

The earlier closure was an economy measure.

By the way, since when has reduced usage been a criterion for closing a lounge? I recall, for example, having the lounge at JFK to myself for hours on one occasion. Does BA close its Galleries lounges at T5 before the last flight has departed because of dwindling numbers? (Maybe it does!)

Not everyone who arrives in the afternoon wants to leave the airport immediately. When I arrive from Vancouver shortly I'd like to be able to have a shower and perhaps a nap before making my way home.

I'm almost tempted to argue that it might be better not to offer a service at all than to alienate customers by offering it to some and not to others but I won't!
