I am currently living in Malaysia. I usually travel to Canada once a yr and within the region. I typically use United or British Airways when going to Canada. I dont recall ever using Air Canada much but even if i do. arent the miles gathered via the United Plan the exact same as when using the Aeroplan (assuming no Aeroplan bonuses)?

Derek, in your experience does United have better lounge access and upgrades for international flights than Aeroplan?
