Let's postulate for discussions purposes that AC caps the "top up privilege" at 10% of qualification levels.

SE could only buy 10K status miles to top up their account

E could only buy 3.5K status miles ......

P could only buy 2.5K.......

What price per status miles? I have no idea....

I still think it is a good idea....
