I did exactly the same upgrading a BA flight with BA miles, but then changing it to my AAdvantage number. Although my AAdvantage number was on my BP, the flight credited to BA. I filled in the request mileage credit form on aa.com, and was rapidly credited with the AA miles. (Currently I still have the BA mies too.)
But Finnair might not work the same way. If you don't get an answer here, you could try the Finnair forum.
