The Epoch Times is about as good a source for non-biased news on the actions of China's government as is the China Daily or the People's Daily.

One is published by Falun Gong, and the others are published by the CCP. Neither can be fully considered as unbiased and trustworthy sources of information...

Besides, satellite? This doesn't even pass the smell test. There would be no point in using extremely costly satellite communications when the local cell phone network would work better for a fraction of the cost.
