Please point out where it specifically says that you must choose points. It doesn't say in the T&C @:-)
When I called Hyatt CS earlier, the phone agent told me that I still would be eligible to receive free nights even if I chose miles. She said it would still be considered an eligible stay regardless of whether I chose points or miles.
