We flew across from a couple with a little girl, perhaps 2 or 3, in the nose of the 747 last summer. This was from AKL to LHR, so roughly 24 hours. She had her own seat. She used it to sleep, then would go to her mother to cuddle or read and play. If she wanted to be in her mother's lap for take off or landing, the flight attendance gave the mother a belt to buckle onto her own. She took a shine to my husband, and ssshhhed the cabin one time when he was sleeping. On the whole, she was quiet and respectful of the cabin atmosphere. The mother told us they wouldn't consider such a long trip without business class seats for each of them.
