My note to AA Customer Service

Here is what I submitted on AA.com regarding this flight:

I wish to commend XXX XXXXXX, the flight attendent working in the First Class cabin of flight 819 on 9/23/09, for the outstanding service he provided on my flight Wednesday evening. I felt like I had stepped back into another era - XXX was outstanding in his service delivery and made traveling in First Class really feel like a first class experience. He constantly used passenger names when addressing travelers, the meal service was done in a manner consistent with making it an enjoyable experience for the passenger and he maintained a high level of visibility in the cabin throughout the flight (no hiding in the galley or sitting on a jump seat as some flight attendants tend to do). I also have to say that the catering onboard the flight seemed to be a step above what I have experienced in the past - the meal didn't seem to be the typical one tray affair but was instead served course by course. I liked that salads were individually dressed at the seat (no packets of salad dressing on the tray), that salad and appetizer plates were cleared prior to the entree being served and that tablecloths actually made it back for the service. I know that these are little things - but they do make an incredible impression and I am sure that added to the great service provided by XXX. When the cabin crew have great tools to work with they deliver service with pride. In return, they create happy passengers and this reconfirmed my decision to keep flying American.
