Thank You Points Expiration Shortened

Just got an email announcing expiration of Thank You Points. Guess I'll get rid of what I have (Sears gift cards?).

You are a ThankYou® Member who has enrolled to earn ThankYou Points through Expedia®. We wanted to inform you of an upcoming change to the ThankYou Program.
As of 11/22/09, new ThankYou Points earned through Expedia will expire five years from the end of the calendar month in which they are earned. Accordingly, only points earned prior to 11/22/09 will not expire as long as there is qualifying purchase activity through Expedia or redemption activity through ThankYou Network at least once every three calendar years.
