Hyatt
I'm going to look at it a differant way. A studio apartment in boston goes for $1600 per month, even within a 10 mile radius. @ $15. phr that's about $2000after taxes. @ $8. phr thats $1000 after taxes. The new workers now become low income familys. With that the state has to pay into supporting these new folks food stamps etc. Thus you the tax payer sees increased taxes. They will be using the subway to commute and pay 8.25%sales tax on everything they buy.Massachusettes has the one of the highest electric and natural gas costs in the country. After freezing to death here in boston i'm sure the turn around will be high enough on these new workers when they see that. Thus the service will slip. Asking themselfs is now the right time to go back to the US territories.
