They have now added a new hazard to the OR Tambo immigrations experience:

a thermal imaging camera.

One of the passport desks has been modified for the purpose, and all arriving pax are instructed to stand on the red dot and remove any glasses before they can proceed to immigrations,

When I last arrived, the camera was manned by a guy slumped in a chair with a woollen beanie pulled almost down over his eyes. Not that it mattered, I presume he was color blind anyway.
