Flew home on 819 last night in F and it felt like the old days on AA. Two drink services before dinner, hot nuts, meal preferences taken, tablecloths, salads dressed individually (no packets of dressing on the tray), shrimp appetizer, salad and app plates cleared and entrees delivered, ice cream (no sundaes but the raspberry cheescake chunks with chocolate ice cream), constant top offs of beverages. The whole meal service took about 2 hours (I was in 6E). Kudos to the flight attendeant - so glad it wasn't a rushed service just so he could read a magazine for 3 hours.
Every time I flew this route in the past years, I looked forward to the TW 757s with their superior seats up front, and the video screens which were deployed throught out the aircraft. I suspect you flew one of the Mad Dogs, an inferior aircraft to the TW 757s which flew these routes.
