Once again, we have another thread in the DL forum about Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. I really do not get why these threads keep on surfacing in here. DL is NOT the only airline that flies into ATL. I have taken off a couple times on that runway (well, technically, on the 27R side) and when I was going back home on a Mad Dog, there were a few FL aircraft taking off before us. Down3Green, Thanks for the detailed info on the inner workings of the program. I find it interesting that although one major reason they invoked this program is for safety reasons (prevention of runway incursions), the airport has the ability to suspend it due to congestion. But I guess if you have 50 aircraft waiting for departure, they have to sit somewhere!
