I understand the points made by sunrisegirl fully. I see far less value in the Silver membership. I just hope that the seat requests I have already made for future flights will still be honored (which as a Silver I would no longer be eligible to select freely), and that BA won't take them away and then ask me to pay for getting back the same seat. I would not be surprised if this happened though.
